All I want in life's a little bit of love...

Hello again.  I hope you all are doing great.  I was packing up some boxes this weekend and stumbled across some old photos from my college years and my early modeling photos.  I put a few up here and on myspace, but they are all up on Facebook.  You should join up over there if you haven't already.  It's free and easy.

Lots of love,
April

Here are the beautiful lyrics to: Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in space

All I want in life's a little bit of love to take the pain away
Getting strong today, a giant step each day

I've been told only fools rush in
But I don't believe, I don't believe
I could still fall in love with you

I will love you till I die
And I will love you all the time
So please put your sweet hand in mine
And float in space and drift in time

All my time until I die, we'll float in space, just you and I
So please put your sweet hand in mine
And float in space and drift in time

I'll love you to death, I guess that's what you get
And I don't know where we are all going to

Love don't get stranger than this, it is what it is
And I don't know where we are all going to

Everything happens today and that's what you get
And I don't know where we are all going to...

Happy July!

Happy July everybody!  I hope each of you have found some time to enjoy the sunshine.  I spent the 4th out in Malibu at a party in The Colony.  It was nice just relaxing on the beach and watching the fireworks.  I hope each of you had a fabulous 4th as well!

I have a few updates/ announcements.  I added an interview from Inside Edition to the videos section.  In case you missed it, it aired July 7th.

I filmed an interview for the E! Channel last week discussing my book.  It will be airing on E! News August 9th at 9:00 AM ET & 7:00PM ET, and August 10th at 11:00AM ET & 7:00PM ET.

I will be visiting NGTV (No Good TV) next Wednesday on July 30th.  It's my second time on the show with their host Carrie Keagan.  Last time was a lot of fun and pretty crazy. (I recall doing shots of Jager with her!).  Anyway, she was great, and I can't wait to see her again.  We'll be talking about my book and my newest movie coming out, The Penthouse.  I will be adding a scene from the film to the videos section later on today.  So make sure and check it out.  The scene is with Ryder Strong who plays Kieran.  I play Trista.  The film was directed by Chris Levitus.

On Monday, I played in the Third Annual Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament benefiting the Clear View Treatment Center (wow, that was a mouthful).  Clear View Treatment Center is a non-profit residential treatment program for  boys ages 11-17.  The youth are placed in the program through the department of Social Services and Juvenile Probation.  They seem to be doing really great work and it was a pleasure to attend the event.  I managed to last for three rounds, before I got knocked out.  There are pics from the tournament online if you want to check it out.  You might notice that my hair is dark brown again.  I went to the salon last week, because I absolutely hated being blonde! (Yeah, I will never do that again.)

Well, that's it for now.  Have a wonderful weekend, and lots of love!

ONE HECK OF A MONTH!

Hello again,

I hope all of you are doing extremely well.  I've been super busy this past month and have severely neglected my blogging duties.  Shame on me... But, I swear to do better from now on.  Where should I begin...

I attended the Maxim Hot 100 party last Wednesday night at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.  I wore an awesome pale blue dress from my designer friends Sebastian and Sandy at Yoga Army.  And I had a blast!  I ran into tons of my friends in the industry as well as Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue (I snapped a pic of us), a couple of models from Deal or No Deal (and found out all the gossip that has been spreading around on set regarding my new book...Yikes!, and I even chatted with the guys over at MAXIM RADIO.  So, if you have satellite radio you can listen to my interview (which they replayed over and over again all last weekend.)

I had my book release party for Behind The Briefcase last Friday night at a really cool club in Hollywood called Goa.  I wore a beautiful red silk dress that Odette Christiane designed for me (just for the occasion).  One of my favorite makeup artists, Michelle Van Der Hule, came to my house beforehand and did my hair and makeup. Complete with bright red lips and nails.  If you're interested in taking a look at the pics you can go visit my myspace or facebook and see them all.  (You can find the links at the top of my homepage).  Once I arrived at the club, I was extremely pleased with the turnout.  All of my close friends attended, as well as, the designers from Yoga Army, my book distribution team from Midpoint (who flew in from New York), and my dear friend Quincy Jones.  We gifted our celebrity guests VIP Mezzi Briefcases filled with goodies (those are the actual briefcases that they use on the show Deal or No Deal).  And we rocked the house!!!  Well, until 2 am rolled around, and they tossed us out.  But in all sincerity, it couldn't have gone better.  I had a great time, and I really appreciate everyone's support.

The next morning at noon (which was way, way too early...) I drove downtown to the LA Convention center and had my very first book signing at the Book Expo!  It was really fun to meet everyone.  There was a really long line, but luckily everybody was pretty patient, and I got to chat for a bit.  I took some pics, and I will post them soon.  Once again, I wore red.  But, no dress this time.  Just a red strapless top, jeans, and boots.  I wanted to match my large 4 foot poster of my book cover (where I'm wearing a red satin dress).  And besides, I've always appreciated red.

Yesterday, I had my first radio interview for my book Publicity Tour led my Michael Wright.  I went in the studio for a half hour with Leeza Gibbons on her Hollywood Confidential Radio Show.  She was fantastic, beautiful, and so kind.  I've always loved her.  The show will air later this month.  I will post the date when it becomes available.   (And I took a pic of us in the studio, so I'll remember to post that, too).

Today, I attended an awesome Lamborghini Event at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA.  They rented out the entire California Speedway Racetrack for us and they had a private unveiling of a new 2009 model.  I took a racing class and had a personal driving lesson with a professional racing instructor.  Afterwards, I drove a couple of Lambos around the track.  The instructor was in the car talking me through the turns and corners.  I honestly thought that I would be really nervous and too afraid to floor it, but I did.  It was AMAZING!!!! Imagine racing around a track all by yourself going 140 miles an hour.  That's how fast I was going.  Afterwards, I did an interview with NBC news crew.  If I can find the clip, I'll post it on the videos page.  I will post a few pics too.  I am so happy that I went there, it was definitely one of the most exciting things I have ever done!  If you ever have the chance to take a ride around a track-- go for it!

Well, that's all for now.  I'm going to take a breather tomorrow and maybe try to get some work done.  Wow, now that I look, it's really getting late.  I always seem to blog really late at night.  Oh, well.  I guess I would make a pretty good vampire.   Minus all the blood stuff...

Hugs and Kisses,

April

GOODBYE APRIL?

April 29th, 2008 3:06 a.m.
Goodbye April?

Hello friends, I can't believe that my month is practically over This seems like the fastest year ever! I hope all of you are healthy, happy, and accomplishing all of the goals that you've set for yourselves this year. I've been spending the past few weeks finishing up my last minute book details with the distributor in New York, and the printer in Boston. I'm getting ready to start my Press Tour in two weeks. I will post the schedule of events as soon as I get it. (I'm sure, you're getting tired of me talking about my book by now.) It certainly takes a long time to get a book published and out onto the shelves. It's been a lot of hard work and a long journey, and I'll be so happy when June 1st finally gets here! I want to invite those of you, who read my book, to send in your thoughts, comments, or reviews. I'd really like to know your honest opinion, and I'd like to post your emails.

I've actually really enjoyed this whole "writing thing," and I'm already working on another book called, "Behind The Beauty." I'm writing it for girls who are interested in professional modeling. I sure wish that I had had a book like this when I started out. I'm planning on releasing it later this year, but I'm shooting the cover next week with the photographer Ken Matthews (who shot the Rounder Magazine that I did last month).

Tomorrow, I have a hair appointment to color my hair. I'm either going to go a lot more blond or totally dark. I haven't quite made up my mind. I know it's summer, and I'm trying to keep it all highlighted, but I'm not sure if I dig it or not. Wednesday, I have another photoshoot with Dreamgirl Lingerie. I always enjoy working with them. But my calltime is 7am. And I really hate getting up early.

I updated my Ask April section tonight with over forty five questions. Whew! Hopefully, you will see your's posted. I really appreciate your questions, and I promise to try to answer them as quick as I can. I also want to thank those of you who simply sent in notes. I always love to read them, and it's great to know that you care! I also want to give a special thanks to David B. from London, England, who alerted me of a certain photo of myself out there in webland. Thanks for looking out David! I appreciate it.

This week, I'm creating a new Monthly Giveaway Contest! So, watch for it on the homepage. There will be a trivia question posted, and all you will have to do is email me your answer. Then me and my teacup poodle, Jewels, will have a random drawing from all of the correct answers. The winner will receive some great personalized merchandise from April's Shop!!! It was her idea, but we both thought that it would be really fun... and it's totally free, so make sure and enter!!!

Well, I should probably get off to bed, I have a busy couple of days ahead of me. Take care and have a wonderful week.

All of my love,

April

HELLO CHICAGO...

 March 15, 10:58 pm
Thanks Chicago!

I would like to send a special thanks out to "Chicago" from Honolulu, HI. He was my very first customer in the new April Scott Official Website Shop! And as a sign of my gratitude, I'm going to send you lots of cool extra stuff to make all the not-the-very-first-customer-to-the-April Scott Official Website Shop- shopper's jealous. So, thanks Chicago!!! He was very patient with me as I charged and declined his credit card five times before I figured out that my merchant account MID and TID configuration numbers weren't linked properly with my payment gateway account--but don't you be nervous to buy something-- because, I've like totally got it all straightened out now.... Yeah,.... It was actually relatively simple and straightforward...and um, all those late shift live chat tech guys were really super knowledgeable...and very helpful. So, it should be nothing but smooth sailing from now on........P.S. Chicago, I shipped out your order on Thursday, but I never actually could figure out how to charge your VISA for all those Benchwarmer Cards, so I just used it to order a pizza the other night. So, I hope you don't mind. But, I just got a medium, with only one topping because I didn't feel it would be professional to overcharge you with the Veggie Deluxe...that I normally enjoy...so technically you still owe me like 68 cents. But, who's really keeping track.....

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL HOME OF APRIL SCOTT...

March 1, 2008
Welcome to the official home of April Scott...

As you might have noticed, my website has undergone a facelift, or more of a sex change...really, because its all new and well, all me. So, sorry for those of you who hate pink...but you get what you pay for. And since I have designed and built this one all by myself, I have pinked it out...yes every single inch. Well, I chose the template anyway...

And why did I go to all of this trouble? Don't I have like a movie to film or a rice cake to eat or something? Well, yes and no. I am pretty busy. Um,... I've recently published a book, Behind the Briefcase, I'm hosting my own show on the Octane Network, and I just finished a new film, called The Penthouse; (not to be confused with the magazine...) And yeah, that all keeps me pretty busy, but I have decided that what's the fun of having fans...if I don't really get to keep in touch with you.

So, I have decided to forgo sleep for web design. (My Tempurpedic bed is overrated anyway). So while the rest of you slumber, I quietly sift through mounds of old modeling photos, diligently scan in magazine tear-sheets, and faithfully compress and resize my jpegs just so you can view them properly without the jaggedy edges. And I have done this all for you. Yes, if you are reading this. You are the cause of my dark under eye circles and my jittery over-caffinated blogging.

So, have no more fear that your "contact forms" will be shipped out into the dark oblivion, or into a negligent webmaster's spambox. And I'll no longer make Ed answer my fan mail with X's and O's. Which is pretty helpful, because he's got a lot of Daisy Duke poster's left to sign...Yes, he's really piling up over there... "No, Ed. No--No stop sign. Sign, yes. Keep signing...Si, Ed. Si..." Sorry about that...

Anyway, so I invite you to check out my weekly blog, and "Ask April" section, where you ask anything and everything that you might want to know about me or my opinions on current events, politics, stagflation, or any other important questions that might be weighing on your heart or mind...(Note to self: Set "Ask April" autoreply message to "34C"...)

In the gallery, I have included a collection of my favorite photos from modeling shoots, magazines, red carpet events, personal appearances, and even some behind the scenes pics taken by me with my personal camera...of course I won't actually be in those photos...if I actually have to take them,..but I'll work out the details later...

And drop by "April's Shop" if you are looking for a copy of my new book, "Behind The Briefcase," or for any authentic autographed memorabilia. FYI I can personalize any of the merchandise especially for you. Just let me know what you would like Ed to write.

Feel free to look around and make yourself at home!

XOXO

April Scott
